Helena Kwan / Next Internet / VP of Finance and Administration
Helena came to NextInternet over 2 years ago and leads the finance and administration for the Company and consults with the many businesses to ensure the correct procedures and processes are being followed.
Having over ten plus years as a Finance Professional she has worked internationally for DMB&B and Saatachi & Saatachi as Regional Finance Director in Asia. Following this she returned to the Bay Area focusing on smaller companies in the technology space working for various companies including etown.com and senvid.
Helena moved to the US to complete her undergraduate at Menlo College and received her MBA from Santa Clara University.
In her words Helena tends to be neat freak when it comes to her house and the financial books. She enjoys electronic gadgets and her miniature schnauzer Samantha and Shiba Inu, Taka.
In Her Own Words
Born and reared in Hong Kong. I am the eldest of 6 children. I came here during my junior year of college, then went on to finish my MBA because I could not figure out what I want to do then.
I worked in the real estate industry after I graduated from my MBA, then went back to Hong Kong and got into something that is a total opposite from real estate (real estate vs. advertising, tangible vs. intangible). That was a very interesting change. I was the Regional Finance Director for DMB&B and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in Asia.
Came back to the U.S. and have been working for small companies / start-up ever since.
