Diego Canoso / Next Internet / VP of BizDev

In 2000 Diego co-Found Adteractive, which focuses on pay for performance lead acquisition for clients ranging from online education to mortgage. Adteractive, was viewed as being a frontrunner in the pay for performance lead acquisition space and Diego was instrumental in growing the company to 150 plus employees with revenues in excess of 100MM in 2005.

Today, Diego focuses on deals that drive growth for Next Internet’s lead gen and customer acquisition businesses. Aside from his day to day responsibilities Diego is an advisor on the business utilizing his seasoned expertise in internet lead generation.

In His Own Words
It all started back in 1999 when I found my first Internet Company. Now I am excited to be applying 9 years of online Performance Advertising to new and exciting ventures as an active investor and advisor. Today, right now I am passionate about leveraging the NextInternet’s platform to build businesses that enable publishers and advertisers to form profitable, sustainable relationships.

2000 was the beginning of the end for Internet business models that didn’t make any money. While there are a few plays that get high valuations today with yet to be proven revenue models, let’s face it, the lions share of internet businesses are valued on revenue and earnings they book.

We started Adteractive, Inc. during a time in which marketers were struggling to achieve an ROI on their media spend. Publishers were coming to the realization that their inventory valuations were way off. Our business model and platform helped bridge the gap in the marketplace and started the revolution to performance based marketing. We managed to scale out businesses by delivering value for our clients while helping publishers achieve a fair price for their media. Looking back on it, the creative destruction of the CPM world led different ways to calculate media spend CPC, CPA models in lead generation and customer acquisition based on a variety of downstream client side metrics. Marketers were forced to re think the way they used the internet to generate customers. All of this has led to the development of a complex ecosystem of online advertising business models.

Today, Next Internet is the best place to create and build internet companies. My focus is on the development of businesses that tackle the problem of traffic monetization while delivering quality customers and leads for advertisers in a predictable scaleable manner. We have the people, technology platform and domain expertise to attract the industries best talent and after all these years are just getting started.
