Chris Weber / Next Internet / VP of People Chris Weber is NextInternet’s Vice President of People focusing on making NextInternet the best place to work with a focus on Human Resources, Communication and Corporate Marketing. He has specialized in high growth startups in the enterprise software and online space for over 10 years with a focus on Talent Acquisition. Most recently Chris was Adteractive’s VP of Human Resources in a role where over three years he led a team in recruitment, human resources and administration growing the organization from 40 to over 180 employees. Prior to this he has held positions in Human Resources and Staffing Leadership with Nextag, GlobalSight now Transware and Beyond.com. I am excited by the latest chapter of Adteractive in its very close strategic alliance with NextInternet and its leadership’s philosophy regarding employment. I have had the pleasure to work with some great companies with amazing growth rates, business plans and ultimately huge revenues resulting in strong profits. What those companies had was a successful business, but what it often lacked was an eye for the employee and their employment experience. I am excited to work with Ken and his management team as their focus is to make NextInternet the best place to create and build internet companies, but beyond just the business and making money they focus on maki ng NextInternet a great place to work.It’s always a hard thing to define a great place work for everyone as it differs from employee to employee. For one employee it may be career mobility, vertically or horizontally, another it may be a social outlet and yet another may focus on benefits. However, the effort of defining it is better than the effort of turning a blind eye. Instead Ken, his Management and I are dedicated to taking a keen eye on employee programs that drive the ultimate goal of making NextInternet a great place to work. What’s next is evolving on a daily basis as we look at additional concepts and ideas for tomorrow while growing our current businesses. Whatever is next I am confident to be doing it with the right team working on the right things driving growth in our businesses and developing our leadership team as well as employees. |
