Next Internet creates and builds Internet companies.Most of our operating companies are based on concepts we generate internally, although from time to time we acquire interests in existing Internet companies. Each company in Next Internet is established as a separate company rather than a division. We believe this structure allows each business to retain the entrepreneurialism and accountability of a startup while benefiting from the economies of scale and network effect associated with Next Internet.We usually take a majority position in our operating companies and provide continuing funding till the business is profitable. In addition to funding, we provide a full set of startups services (shared offices, recruiting, corporate) and business expertise (planning, strategy, marketing, bizdev) to help an early-stage startup gain traction. To help our startups achieve profitability and strong market position, we work hard to develop the company culture, hire the right management team, and scale the operating processes to turn a startup into a business. Kenneth Chan founded Next Internet in November 2005. The mission of Next Internet is to be the absolute best place to create and build Internet companies. Next Internet is currently profitable with 250 employees, and 7 operating companies in Internet Marketing, Ecommerce, and Consumer Internet. Next Internet is located in San Francisco with an offices in Mountain View and Los Angeles.
